Very often I tell my patients to build internal strength, but what is that exactly?
Internal strength is the strength that we build from loving ourselves, accepting our limitations and taking pride in our accomplishments in other words peace and self-awareness. We are all born with unique and exceptional gifts but finding those wonders within ourselves and nurture them so they can blossom isn’t always easy. First we need to open our eyes to “what is” not the “what if”. We live in a world where we are used to upgrading constantly however when it comes to being in touch with our inner being we need to simplify to discover the grandeur that resides within us. When you accept yourself with all your abilities and limitations your mind will open to let go of any pressure, judgment or comparisons and you will allow yourself to receive instead. When you are able to receive with an open heart you are also listening to your heart. As you build acceptance and self-awareness your intuition grow to be healthy and you will learn to trust it. As you begin to trust your intuition enough you will be able to build relationships for “all the right reasons”. Often we want people in our lives to fill a vacuum or to avoid feeling alone because feeling alone makes many of us sad and anxious. However when you have recognized the gifts within yourself and finally feel a sense of contentment and peace, being alone will no longer bestow the feeling of being lonely. Instead being alone now feels serene because you are at peace with who you are. When you have reached this point of tranquility, you will be able to form healthy relationships. While you are able to stand alone, strong and with confidence you will be able to bond with other human beings on a higher level and those relations will create serenity and peace. Building internal strength is the development of a person’s spirit entering the road of enlightenment, a gradual simplification, an insight and love of oneself.
Developing internal strength is a continuous process, however it’s the strength that you can tap into during difficult times in your life. Getting through tough times and remain tranquil inside during turmoil is a way to train yourself to become a stronger person.
